Intertidal rocky shores

We use intertidal rocky shores as model systems to test hypotheses about process driving population and community dynamics as well as to monitor effects of climate change on communities.

The areas covered are:

(1) Scale-dependent patterns of community structure

(2) Role of disturbance in community dynamics

(3) Importance of pollutants for rocky shore invertebrates

(4) Role of larval supply and intraspecific phenotypic variation in determining recruitment dynamics.
